The National Civil Protection System (Sinaproc) reported that at least 76 housing and 380 people were affected by flooding as a result of heavy rain that fell on Thursday, July 23 in different parts of the country.
A preliminary report indicates that the highest incidence was reported in the province of Colón where 60 housing and 300 people were affected by flooding, landslides or tree fall
Meanwhile, a missing person was reported in the province of Darién after a car was dragged by the current.
The rescue agencies are in Santa Fe, Darién to support the search.
In Los Santos, water entrance was reported at Colegio Coronel Segundo Villarreal, the Instituto Professional Técnica de Azuero (IPTA) and sectors of La Gutiérrez neighborhood, at La Villa de Los Santos.
Five families and 25 people were affected.
A tree was also found to fall onto the power line in the area of El Silencio, Santa Ana District.
A tree was also reported to have been put on the track in the area of La Tiza, Las Tablas District.
Floods were reported at La Arena de Chitre, La Valencia, the Pesé-Monagrillo and Don Esteban.
Until the last report by the authorities, 11 housing units were evaluated with about 55 people affected.
In Panama West, a residence at Vista Alegre, Arraijan District, was affected by a flood.
The same happened in the sector of La Feria, Barrio Balboa, La Chorro District.
At Villa Nazareth, Puerto Caimito, a tree fell onto a house.
On the other hand, in the province of Panama, at Mayor Diaz, a tree fell onto a track.
In addition, four landslides were reported in different sectors of San Miguelito, including Calle L, La Placita, Loma 10 and El Pueblito.
It was explained that some of these slides partially affected structures.
At Villa Guadalupe, a house was affected by a flood.
In several sectors of the capital city, traffic vehicles were affected by flooded streets.
